Job summary

Google is seeking a Software Engineer, AI/ML GenAI, Geo to join the Mountain View team. The role centers on building GenAI-powered maps and related AI features within Google's Geo products, collaborating across teams and contributing to scalable ML systems.

The position emphasizes mentorship, design reviews, and shipping impactful, accessible technologies to billions of users worldwide.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (model deployment, evaluation, data processing, debugging).
Experience with GenAI techniques (LLMs, multi-modal, large vision models) or related concepts.

Responsibilities

Write product or system development code.
Collaborate with peers and stakeholders through design and code reviews to ensure best practices amongst available technologies.
Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing sources of issues and impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Implement GenAI solutions, utilize ML infrastructure, and contribute to data preparation, optimization, and performance enhancements.
