Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking a senior AI/ML engineer to drive GenAI-enabled ASIC engineering workflows, including data extraction, model development, and deployment across cloud environments. You will collaborate with System Architecture, Logic Design, and Data Science teams to scale AI-driven insights that improve quality, cost, and cycle time.

The role emphasizes production-grade AI systems, RAG-based pipelines, and end-to-end analytics, with a focus on reliability and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's with 10+ years or Master’s with 8+ in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, AI or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience developing and deploying AI applications in semiconductors, electronics, or other engineering industries.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python.
• Familiarity with modern AI coding tools / agentic coding harnesses, such as Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI, or similar tools.
• Practical experience in developing and implementing AI/ML systems involving LLMs, including RAG, agentic workflows, and frameworks.

Responsibilities

• GenAI System Development: Design, build, and improve GenAI-powered systems supporting ASIC engineering workflows (code generation, data extraction, analytics, documentation automation, failure triage, root cause analysis, knowledge retrieval).
• LLM Workflow Engineering: Build, evaluate, and optimize LLM-based workflows (prompting, skills, retrieval-augmented generation).
• Machine Learning Production: Develop ML/DL models for classification, regression, anomaly detection, failure analysis, decision support.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Translate complex engineering problems into scalable AI/ML solutions with domain experts.
• Production Deployment: Support deployment, monitoring, and operationalization of AI/ML solutions in cloud/enterprise environments.
• Technical Communication: Convey findings and model outcomes clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Innovation Leadership: Identify high-impact opportunities where GenAI and analytics improve productivity and outcomes.
