Job summary

Cactus Communications seeks experienced physician-researchers to act as Subject Matter Experts in Generative AI for medical research. SMEs will support development and validation of GenAI products to enhance evidence generation, translation, and dissemination, collaborating with clinicians, data scientists, UX designers, engineers, and product managers.

Ideal candidates are active physicians with hands-on experience in trials, systematic reviews, or meta-analyses and a strong publication record.

Qualifications

• MD with Internal Medicine specialty and active U.S. licensure.
• Hands-on experience in clinical research, RCTs, or meta-analyses.
• Strong publication record as first or senior author.
• Familiarity with medical databases such as PubMed, Embase, ClinicalTrials.gov, and Cochrane Library.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance in study design for systematic reviews, RCTs, and other evidence syntheses.
• Evaluate GenAI outputs for scientific accuracy and methodological rigor.
• Collaborate with product teams to translate clinical workflows into AI-enabled research capabilities.
• Define evaluation metrics for GenAI agent accuracy, bias, and reliability.
• Provide clinical review during GenAI model selection, tuning, and refinement.
