You will develop foundational models for Amazon Stores, using LLMs and large-model training techniques, and collaborate with cross-functional teams from ideation to deployment.

The role requires advanced academic credentials and 4+ years of ML experience, with skills in modern ML frameworks.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree with 4+ years in CS/ML or related field.
• 2+ years building models for business applications.
• Experience in Java, C++, Python or similar.
• Strong background in algorithms, data structures, optimization, data mining or HPC.
• Publications or patents in top-tier venues are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research and implement new algorithms and architectures for generative AI applications.
• Optimize model performance and scalability for inference and deployment.
• Collaborate with applied scientists and engineers to preprocess large datasets and improve training infra.
• Experiment with SOTA methods to improve generative AI model quality.
• Provide technical guidance for integrating generative AI into products and services.
