Job summary

Cincinnatus LLC is seeking linguists and instructional designers to help build foundational AI models by creating precise, unambiguous rater guidelines across domains like finance, retail, insurance, legal, and sports. This W-2 role supports the extended workforce with placement at a leading AI lab.

You will design rating rubrics, translate complex program specs into clear instructions, and ensure consistency across guidelines in collaboration with domain experts and program leads.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in linguistics, instructional design, or related field writing/rating guidelines for GenAI/RLHF.
• Experience across multiple domains (finance, retail, insurance, legal, sports) translating nuances into clear instructions.
• Strong ability to resolve ambiguity and contradictions in written specs with concrete before/after examples.
• Demonstrated career progression and reliable 35+ hours/week availability.
• Excellent written communication; can explain nuanced guidance clearly.

Responsibilities

• Guide teams to translate ambiguous requirements into rater-ready instructions.
• Design clear, non-contradictory rating guidelines and rubrics for consistent raters.
• Evaluate drafts for ambiguity and coverage gaps, revise until clear.
