Job summary

Google DeepMind is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge DeepMind model teams with strategic partners. You will embed directly in the partner's engineering journey to design evaluations, unblock complex integrations, and synthesize signals that influence model development.

You will lead joint evaluations, guide GenAI implementations including prompt engineering, retrieval architectures, and multimodal integrations, and author practical case studies to showcase production capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of software development experience with Python/JavaScript/TypeScript.
• 3 years in testing, maintaining, or launching software products; 1 year in design/architecture.
• Experience with Machine Learning systems or LLMs.
• Experience in a customer-facing role and managing client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Embed with strategic partners and own the technical relationship; escalate during launches.
• Drive joint evaluations and benchmarking with partner datasets to deliver signals to modeling teams.
• Optimize GenAI workloads and advise on prompt engineering and RAG architectures.
• Author high-visibility case studies, blogs, and reference implementations.
• Build tooling to surface developer feedback patterns at scale.
