Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge frontier AI products with production-grade reality at customer sites. You will move beyond architecture to code, debug, and jointly ship bespoke AI solutions directly in the customer environment.

Based in Generative Media, you will embed with strategic accounts to deploy complex AI workflows, ensure data readiness, and shape the product roadmap with real-world insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience building and shipping production-grade AI-driven or software solutions to external or internal customers using Python, C++, TypeScript, or comparable languages.
• Experience leading technical discovery sessions with executive stakeholders and engineering teams to define AI, media, and hardware infrastructure requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex AI applications, transitioning from prototypes to production-grade agentic workflows.
• Architect the connective tissue between Google’s AI products and customer’s live infrastructure, including APIs, legacy data, and security perimeters.
• Build production-grade integrations, developer SDKs, and custom middleware that wire Google’s AI media models into industry-standard creative suites and secure studios.
• Identify repeatable patterns and friction points in Google’s AI stack, converting them into reusable modules or product feature requests.
• Co-build with customer engineering teams to instill Google-grade development best practices and ensure long-term project success.
