Job summary

Kraft Heinz in Chicago is seeking an experienced AI engineering leader to drive GenAI solutions across multiple business units. You will lead, coach and develop a team of AI engineers, set standards, priorities and delivery expectations, and own the AI engineering strategy and roadmap.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology or related field (or Bachelor’s with equivalent experience).
• Experience leading AI/ML, software or solution architecture teams and mentoring engineers.
• Hands-on experience deploying GenAI solutions (e.g., chatbots/agents) on a major cloud platform (Azure preferred).
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical design documents and system configurations.
• Strong fundamentals in software engineering with focus on cost, scalability, reliability, security, privacy.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of AI engineers delivering GenAI solutions; set engineering standards and delivery expectations.
• Own the AI engineering strategy and roadmap across multiple business units; align with enterprise objectives.
• Partner with Business, Product, AI Architects, Data Engineers and Enterprise Architecture for end-to-end alignment.
• Translate business requirements into system architecture and configuration specifications.
• Recommend architecture patterns and model-selection strategies across GenAI, balancing cost, latency and security.
• Drive Responsible AI practices to keep non-deterministic systems predictable.
• Identify gaps and risks early; propose mitigation strategies at enterprise scale.
• Represent AI engineering to senior leaders and make decisions on architecture and delivery.
