Citi is seeking a Principal Generative AI Engineer in Irving, TX, to lead the design, development, and deployment of intelligent operations and automation within Collections technology. This senior role shapes technical direction for LLM orchestration and RAG pipelines, ensuring security, compliance, and reliability in financial services.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in application development/engineering with AI in production.
Deep expertise in LLM architectures, embedding models, and AI orchestration (Google ADK and LangChain).
Hands-on experience deploying open-source LLMs (Llama, Mistral, Gemma) with Vertex AI or cloud AI suites.
Expert Python skills with AI/ML libraries and API frameworks (FastAPI/Flask).
Experience implementing deterministic controls, bias detection, and hallucination mitigation in production AI.

Responsibilities

Architect and deliver end-to-end generative AI solutions for intelligent operations.
Lead engineering of LLM pipelines with fine-tuning and prompt engineering.
Build and maintain RAG pipelines using vector databases to enhance accuracy.
Design AI governance frameworks with guardrails and detection systems.
Deploy scalable cloud-native AI infrastructure with Python, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
