Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking an AI Engineer for its AI.x team in San Francisco. You will design and deliver GenAI applications, shaping Schwab’s AI-driven client experiences and business value.

The role collaborates with architects, engineers, and business leaders to align with the enterprise AI strategy. Expect growth through mentoring, code reviews, and continuous learning in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience and 3+ years as a hands-on engineer in startups and/or large organizations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3+ years building complex products from scratch and production experience.
• 1+ years developing applications using AI models to deliver business impact.
• 2+ years working with applications or data pipelines that interface with large datasets.
• 2+ years with containers and cloud-native applications, including deploying them in the public cloud using infrastructure as code.

Responsibilities

• As an AI Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of GenAI applications that enhance client experience and create business value.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business leaders to ensure solutions align with Schwab’s enterprise strategy.
• Learn from senior engineers, participate in technical discussions, and help to build strong engineering practices while fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Address complex technical challenges and drive iterations from concept to production.
