Job summary

Citi is seeking a Generative AI Data Scientist to build and deploy LLM‑based solutions powering its intelligent client engagement platform in Wealth analytics. You will design, train, and monitor GenAI solutions, collaborating with product managers and engineers to translate insights into production features.

The role emphasizes end‑to‑end model lifecycle ownership, governance, and the ability to communicate results to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in AI/ML or data science.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Practical experience with Large Language Models and frameworks including TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face Transformers, LangChain, or LlamaIndex.
• Ability to apply core ML techniques to generate actionable insights.
• Familiarity with vector databases and model fine‑tuning techniques.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Generative AI and LLM‑based solutions using Python, PySpark, and SQL.
• Train, validate, and deploy models across the full model lifecycle.
• Analyze structured and unstructured data to surface business insights for Wealth analytics.
• Harden GenAI components for production with monitoring and governance.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to move solutions to production.
• Evaluate emerging AI capabilities and communicate findings to diverse audiences.
