Highmark Health offers a Summer 2027 Applied Gen AI/Data Scientist Graduate Internship designed for highly motivated graduate students eager to work at the forefront of AI innovation in healthcare. You will apply GenAI, LLMs, AI Agents, and emerging AI tech to tackle real-world healthcare challenges for members, clinicians, and business stakeholders.

As part of the AI Services and Platforms Research & Development Team, you will gain hands-on experience developing and prototyping cutting-edge AI

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Pursuance of a graduate degree full or part-time in an accredited college or university.
Currently pursuing a Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
Strong programming skills in Python.

Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
Under supervision, provide professional services to day-to-day objectives.
Undertake and/or participate in projects to develop professional skills.
Participate in planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise.
Conduct research and reporting with recommendations for action.
Undertake related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate.
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
