Job summary

Amazon Security is seeking an experienced security leader to head the GenAI Application Security team in Seattle. You will manage security engineers and program managers, set priorities, and drive progress toward strategic goals in GenAI security, cloud, and AI/ML.

You will mentor staff, address threats like prompt injection and data leakage, collaborate with AI/ML teams, and shape security reviews and tooling to scale for AI deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of managing and developing teams experience.
• Knowledge of web services security, cryptography and network security.
• Experience applying threat modeling to AI-powered applications.
• Understanding of Generative AI technologies and AI architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of Security Engineers and Technical Program Managers for GenAI AppSec.
• Define strategic direction for GenAI security review processes and prioritization.
• Drive initiatives in AI security with AI/ML teams across Amazon.
• Foster a healthy, collaborative team culture and deliver results in a fast-evolving space.
• Lead cross-group collaboration with data science, ML engineering, and product teams.
• Advance threat modeling, secure prompt design, and model security assessments.
• Write and present high-quality documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Promote GenAI-specific security tooling and automation to scale reviews.
