Job summary

Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. seeks a Site Supervisor-Gen Gas for the Silicon Valley/San Francisco Bay Area.

You will oversee day-to-day operation, maintenance, safety, and environmental responsibilities across multiple gas production facilities, reporting to the Site Manager. You will coordinate support functions, drive plant projects and efficiency, and lead incident investigations while ensuring compliance with safety and maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• Safety focus with 100% compliance to Air Products safety requirements.
• Track record in EH&S and quality.
• Self-starter with leadership abilities and ability to plan and execute tasks to meet standards.
• Strong operating experience in similar plants or complex operations.
• Training provided for gen gas and air separation processes is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Maintenance experience in an industrial plant is a plus.
• Electrical and/or instrumentation proficiency desired.
• Proven digital literacy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety performance and process safety management.
• Supervise day-to-day operation, solve plant process problems, coordinate maintenance.
• Drive plant efficiency and oversee projects within budgets.
• Respond 24/7 to alarms and outages; implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Coordinate with OSC, asset manager, maintenance manager and site manager.
• Cover vacation and outage support with Santa Clara Operations and other Gen Gas Supervisors.
• Perform and maintain administrative duties for the sites.
• Work with support resources to hit efficiency targets.
• Lead turnaround and shutdown planning and execution.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with planning and logistics for inventory of products.
• Serve as point of contact with customers, community reps, and regulators.
• Drive plant projects including capital and maintenance scopes.
• Ensure Preventive Maintenance and Mechanical Integrity compliance.
