Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle, WA, is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to help improve the AWS customer experience.

This onsite role will collaborate with product and engineering partners while driving Gen AI and ML adoption across the data science practice and delivering production-ready analytics. The role requires 2+ years in data science, 3+ years in SQL/Python, and mastery of ML methods.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data scientist experience.
• 3+ years of experience with data querying languages (SQL) or scripting languages (Python) or statistical software (R, SAS, Matlab).
• 3+ years of experience using machine learning/statistical modeling tools and techniques.
• 1+ years of guiding and coaching a group of researchers.
• 1+ years of experience working with or evaluating AI systems.
• 1+ years of experience creating or contributing to mathematical textbooks, research papers, or educational content.
• Master’s degree in STEM or experience in STEM field.
• Experience applying theoretical models in an applied environment.

Responsibilities

• Use statistical analysis, ML, and data mining to generate insights for AWS customer experience.
• Build production-ready analytics solutions to support business decisions.
• Partner with product, engineering, and design teams to develop data products.
• Help drive adoption of Gen AI and ML approaches across data science.
• Communicate technical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Share new ideas, tools, and methods to raise team performance.
