Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. in the United States (WA) is seeking a senior ML engineer to design, develop, validate, and deploy machine learning models across industries.

You will drive end-to-end GenAI projects, collaborate with scientists and engineers, and establish scalable data analysis and serving processes. Strong programming (Java/C++/Python) and HPC experience are required, with a PhD or Master’s plus 4+ years in CS/ML.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building models for business application experience.
• PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience in algorithms, data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, HPC.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and evaluate ML models to solve diverse challenges and opportunities across industries.
• Drive end-to-end ML and GenAI projects with ambiguity, scale, and complexity.
• Build ML models, perform PoCs, experiment, optimize, and deploy to production.
• Collaborate with scientists and software engineers to deliver ML solutions to production.
• Establish scalable, automated processes for large-scale data analysis, model development, validation and serving.
• Be the technical practitioner in AI/ML; lead efforts and research new approaches; communicate methodology clearly.
