Cowley invites applications for the Adult Education Instructional Staff position at Winfield Correctional Facility in Winfield, KS. The role involves coordinating and facilitating curriculum for basic academics and workplace skills for students in the facility.

The position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field and at least three years of teaching experience; Master’s degree preferred. It is grant-funded, with a monthly pay cycle and reports to the Director of Adult

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field is required.
• Master’s Degree is preferred.
• Minimum of three years experience in teaching or related field.
• Must pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate curriculum for basic academic needs and workplace skills.
• Provide data on test scores, goals and progress to program director.
• Provide program orientation for new students.
• Coordinate with other instructors and area agencies to maintain consistency.
• Attend staff development meetings and required trainings.
• Assist with GED graduation planning and related activities.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff and external partners.
