Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree in education or human service field or minimum of 48 hours of college coursework.
• Must be persistent and believe all children can succeed in college with appropriate supports.
• Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently across settings.
• Excellent oral and written communication; able to apply technology to improve program effectiveness.
• Willingness to collaborate with a team of professionals.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate college readiness initiatives (visits, forums, planning) to support postsecondary pathways.
• Plan and facilitate college readiness initiatives, including college visits and career forums.
• Guide students through individualized success planning focused on graduation and postsecondary pathways.
• Assist with enrollment in postsecondary opportunities (dual enrollment, AP, career programs).
• Promote consistent attendance and active engagement in GEAR UP activities, especially for at-risk students.
