Job summary

Grandview School District in Washington state seeks a Grant Program Coordinator to support GEAR UP initiatives, academic enrichment, tutoring, mentoring, and college and career readiness activities during the school day, before and after school, and in summer programs.

The role works with teachers, counselors, and administrators to identify students needing support, connect them with services, plan college visits, and coordinate workshops and outreach that remove barriers to participation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• Experience coordinating college access or college readiness programs preferred.
• Ability to work with students, families, and school staff to support program goals.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in developing and implementing annual work plans aligned with GEAR UP goals.
• Coordinate academic enrichment, tutoring, mentoring, and college readiness activities during school hours and in after-school or summer programs.
• Identify students needing academic support and monitor their progress with teachers, counselors, and administrators.
• Provide guidance on college exploration, admissions applications, financial aid, and scholarship searches.

Frontline Applicant Tracking - Grandview School District

• Assists the Director in developing and implementing annual work plans, activities, and services aligned with GEAR UP goals, grant requirements, and district priorities.
• Coordinates academic enrichment, tutoring, mentoring, and college and career readiness activities during the school day, before and after school, and during summer programs as assigned.
• Works with teachers, counselors, and administrators to identify students needing academic support, connect students with appropriate services, and monitor participation and progress.
• Provides individual and group support for college and career exploration, postsecondary planning, admissions applications, personal statements, scholarship searches, and financial aid applications.
• Assists students and families with understanding graduation requirements, postsecondary entrance requirements, education and training options, and financial aid resources.
• Plans and assists with college visits, career exploration events, workshops, and field trips; coordinates permissions, transportation, schedules, and student supervision in accordance with district procedures.
• Coordinates family meetings, college awareness events, and financial literacy workshops; recruits participants and conducts outreach to families who face barriers to program participation.

• Salary: $ 32.02-$37.09 per hour(depending on experience)

What You'll Need:

• Education: Bachelors degree in job-related area.
• Experience: Job related experienceis required.
• Minimum qualifications: Minimum of three (3) three years experience working in the field of college awareness/access and/or a related field preferred; Minimum of one (1) year experience working in a school-based or a college/university setting.

Work Environment

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some climbing and balancing, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and some fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 40% sitting, 30% walking, and 30% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and in a generally hazard free environment.
