Job summary

Echo Electric, a Sonepar brand, is seeking a Gear Quotations Specialist in Columbus, OH. You will analyze project blueprints to prepare bills of materials, formulate pricing strategies with sales, and submit bid proposals accurately and on time.

• 3+ years of experience with electrical and lighting products and other related project material.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret layouts.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes project blueprints to identify specifications for preparing a bill of materials.
• Formulates unique pricing strategies in collaboration with sales and management representatives.
• Submits project bid proposals accurately and within deadlines.
• Monitors ordering activities associated with bid projects to ensure pricing and terms accuracy.
• Communicates proactively with customers throughout the quotation/bid process.
• Stays informed about inventory, including appropriate product substitutions.
• Develops product knowledge and attends relevant training classes.
• Negotiates special pricing contracts and maintains accurate documentation.
• Fosters relationships with Sales Associates, Inside Sales Associates, and support personnel.
• Exchanges customers' needs information timely.

The Gear Quotations Specialist plays a pivotal role in coordinating the bidding quotation process for customer requests and projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while aligning with sales and profitability objectives.

Shift: Monday- Friday, 8 AM-5 PM

We're looking for a team player who:

What you bring:

• Bachelor degree in business or related field or equivalent on the job experience as determined by Echo Electric.
• 3+ years of experience with electrical and lighting products and other related project material.
• Demonstrated customer and vendor relationship building and maintenance skills.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to accurately read blue prints and spec layouts.
• Strong attention to details and demonstrated follow-up skills.
• Demonstrated time management and organization skills, including the ability to plan and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Commitment to and demonstration of high ethical standards governing professional behavior and interactions.
