Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation is seeking a skilled gear production operator for second shift in Stratford, CT. You will perform deburring, brushing, chamfering, and stress relief tasks on gears, following operation sheets and drawings to ensure precise dimensions and quality.

Responsibilities include operating chamfering and gear brush machines, using precision gauges, logging stress relief operations, and identifying parts with stamping/etching tools.

Qualifications

• Requires arithmetic knowledge and ability to read operation sheets and drawings.
• Include knowledge of deburring and chamfering machines, stress relief ovens, and use of hand or power buffers/polishers.

Responsibilities

• Follow operation sheets and drawings to set up and operate chamfering machines on gears.
• Use measuring instruments to verify angle, depth and width on gears.
• Operate gear brush machine and align wheel head angle.
• Log and chart all stress relief operations as specified.
• Identify parts using stamping/etching tools per drawings or verbal instructions.
• Perform duties of bench hand polisher when required.
• Adhere to EH&S procedures and housekeeping rules.
