Software Test Engineer Intern Role Overview

In this role, you will work alongside experienced QA professionals and developers to help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. You will gain hands‑on experience with testing methodologies, automated testing tools, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC), with a unique opportunity to learn how to deploy and validate complex GridOS applications in a simulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Execution: Execute manual and automated test cases to identify bugs and software defects.
• Documentation: Assist in writing, maintaining, and updating test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
• Collaboration: Participate in sprint planning, design reviews, and daily stand‑ups to understand requirements and contribute to quality goals.
• Bug Tracking: Document, track, and verify software defects using our internal issue‑tracking tools.
• Environment Setup: Assist in setting up and maintaining test environments and data sets.

Required Qualifications

Other Eligibility Requirements

The required work location is Atlanta, GA or Bellevue, WA - 100% onsite. Must have the ability to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: Experience or coursework in testing tools (e.g., Katalon, qTest). Familiarity with version control systems like Git. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and AWS (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions). An interest in performance testing or security testing. Minimum 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or 4.0 on a 5.0 scale cumulative GPA (without rounding).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience or coursework in testing tools (e.g., Katalon, qTest).
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and AWS (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

• Housing Allowance: Co‑op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off‑set living expenses when the co‑op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
