Job description

MIM Software's DevSecOps team manages the software development lifecycle (SDLC) services used to produce commercial software products. As a DevOps Engineer Intern, you'll help maintain and administer this infrastructure while gaining hands‑on experience with modern DevOps practices.

You'll automate system configuration, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot problems using our suite of DevOps tools. This internship provides practical experience with infrastructure code tools such as Ansible, OpenTofu, and GitLab CI to build cloud‑native IT systems that support next‑generation software product delivery.

What You'll Do:

• Create Ansible playbooks to perform basic system automation tasks
• Use GitLab CI to test infrastructure code and write tests
• Assist with system maintenance
• Work closely with experienced DevSecOps team members, including a personal mentor
• Learn about DevOps principles in an industry environment
• Learn about how DevOps practices can streamline work inside and outside engineering

Requirements

Looking for candidates with a foundation in technical concepts and strong problem‑solving abilities.

• Working knowledge of Linux-based operating systems
• Some experience writing code (in a programming language or infrastructure code) in coursework, projects, or previous internships
• Active pursuit of a bachelor's degree - preferably in a computer science-related discipline – or equivalent experience
