Job summary

Vertex Solutions Inc. in New York is seeking a Systems Manager – GCP Lead Platform Tooling for the ED&A Data & Analytics domain. You will lead a hands-on team to maintain the GCP tooling stack, observability, and incident response while enabling ML/AI deployment ecosystems.

You will partner with platform operations, data engineering, and governance to ensure reliable platform services, strong metrics, and rapid resolution of incidents. Hybrid role with three days on-site in NYC.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant full-time work experience or Bachelor's with 8+ years.
• Experience leading platform engineering, tooling administration, or cloud operations.
• Deep expertise with observability, monitoring stacks, and analytics tooling (GCP focus).
• Experience in incident triaging and operational troubleshooting across complex data platforms.
• Experience defining and managing operational metrics, SLAs, or KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the platform tooling strategy, administration, and ongoing maintenance for the ED&A Data & AI platform team.
• Design, implement, and manage comprehensive monitoring and observability across all GCP platform services.
• Develop and deliver reporting on platform health, capacity, and usage metrics to stakeholders.
• Establish triaging processes for platform issues and route to the right owners for rapid resolution.
• Enable and maintain the Model and Agent Garden ecosystem for scalable ML/AI deployments.
• Lead and develop the Platform Tooling team and set priorities.
• Collaborate with data engineering, platform operations, and governance teams to align tooling with requirements.
• Define and report operational metrics, SLAs, and KPIs for platform tooling.
