Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a skilled GCP Platform Support Engineer (SRE/CI/CD) to ensure reliability of cloud-based applications on Google Cloud. You will partner with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and monitor system performance in a fast-paced environment.

The role focuses on automation, security, and scalable cloud infrastructure, with collaboration across engineering, QA, and operations to deliver robust, secure solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with GCP services including Compute, Kubernetes Engine, Storage, Functions.
• SRE fundamentals: monitoring, incident management, performance optimization.
• CI/CD expertise with Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• IaC experience with Terraform and Deployment Manager.
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Monitoring).
• Strong analytical and collaborative communication skills.
• Familiarity with AI platforms and governance tooling.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for GCP-based apps ensuring high availability.
• Automate tasks with Python/Bash and IaC tooling (Terraform, Deployment Manager).
• Implement cloud security practices: IAM, encryption, network controls.
• Monitor cloud resources: VMs, containers, databases, networking components.
• Design/maintain CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Set up monitoring/alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, and Cloud Monitoring.
• Participate in incident response and post-mortem analysis.
• Apply SRE practices: SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.
• Support AI Platform enablement for AI agents and tools on GCP.
• Assist with AI integration patterns, security controls, and governance.
• Collaborate with development/QA/ops; maintain documentation.
