Job summary

BrezQ is seeking a GCP Platform Engineer to join our Phoenix-based team. You will design, deploy, and maintain scalable GCP environments, emphasizing reliability and security for enterprise workloads.

You’ll automate with Terraform, manage GKE-based clusters, and optimize data services such as Cloud Composer and Dataproc, while collaborating with DevOps, security, and architecture teams to advance cloud maturity.

• Hands-on engineering experience with Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, Cloud Composer.

Responsibilities

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Terraform.

We’re looking for an experienced GCP Platform Engineer with strong hands‑on expertise in Google Cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, automation, and cloud services.

What You’ll Do

• Architect & Build: Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, highly available GCP platform environments.
• Automate Everything: Drive end-to-end infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform.
• Support Orchestration & Pipelines: Manage GKE/Kubernetes containerized environments and robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Scale Data Platforms: Administer and optimize key data infrastructure services including Cloud Composer and Dataproc.
• Enable Governance & Security: Implement best-in-class cloud networking, IAM policies, security controls, monitoring, and logging.
• Optimize & Troubleshoot: Solve complex infrastructure and production issues to maintain peak platform performance.
• Collaborate: Partner closely with DevOps, Application, Security, and Architecture teams to elevate our cloud maturity.

What You Bring (Must-Have Skills)

• Core GCP Expertise: Strong hands‑on engineering experience across Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, and Cloud Composer.
• IaC & Automation: Expert-level mastery of Terraform and infrastructure scripting.
• Containerization: Proven hands‑on experience with GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) and container orchestration.
• Cloud Operations: Deep understanding of GCP Networking, IAM, Cloud Operations (Monitoring/Logging), and Security best practices.
• DevOps Culture: Strong foundation in CI/CD pipeline design and modern DevOps practices.
• Enterprise Experience: Track record of supporting mission‑critical enterprise production environments.
