Job summary

TechNET is seeking a hands-on GCP Platform Administrator for a 6+ month engagement, fully remote with EST hours. You will provision, configure, and manage infrastructure within Google Cloud, driving security, scalability, and best‑practice compliance.

Responsibilities include setting up new GCP components, managing Compute Engine/Storage/VPCs/Load Balancers, implementing IAM policies, and automating with Terraform. Strong troubleshooting and independent work in a remote environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Administrator.
• Proven ability to provision and configure new components in a production GCP environment.
• Strong understanding of GCP architecture, security governance, and compliance standards.
• Experience with Terraform for IaC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work autonomously in a fully remote setting.

About the Role: We are seeking a hands‑on GCP Platform Administrator to join our cloud infrastructure team for a long‑term engagement. In this role, you will be the primary driver for provisioning, configuring, and managing new infrastructure within our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. You will play a critical role in expanding our cloud footprint, ensuring that all new components are set up securely, efficiently, and in alignment with enterprise best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Setup: Lead the end‑to‑end setup, configuration, and deployment of new GCP components and services from scratch.
• Platform Administration: Manage core GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPCs, and Load Balancers.
• Access & Security: Configure and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies, ensuring least‑privilege access for all new component rollouts.
• Automation (IaC): Utilize Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to automate the provisioning and scaling of new GCP environments.
• Network Configuration: Set up and manage secure networking components, subnets, and firewalls for newly integrated platform tools.
• Monitoring & Optimization: Implement monitoring and alerting for newly deployed services to ensure optimal platform health, capacity, and performance.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven, hands‑on experience working strictly as a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Administrator.
• Strong expertise in provisioning and setting up new components within a production GCP ecosystem.
• Solid understanding of GCP architecture, security governance, and compliance standards.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (specifically Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to operate independently in a fully remote environment.
