Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Finance Data & BI organization. You will lead the migration and modernization of Finance data platforms to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), building scalable data solutions and AI/ML pipelines in a hybrid work setup based in Richmond, VA.

The role reports to the Director, Finance Data & BI and collaborates with Finance, BI, Data Product, Architecture, and Data Science teams to shape the future-state data ecosystem for analytics and forecasting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience as a Data Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with production-scale data engineering on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• 4+ years with data warehouses, cloud platforms, relational databases, and BI/dashboarding tools.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C#.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using modern cloud technologies.
• Develop and optimize cloud-based data architectures and databases.
• Collaborate with Finance, BI, and Data Product teams to translate complex requirements.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and SOX compliance across data platforms.
