Act as consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders in engineering, sales, customer organizations to resolve technical deployment obstacles and improve Google Cloud
Bachelors or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience
1–5+ years of experience with Infrastructure automation tools (Terraform), with a focus on IaC and immutable infrastructure
1–5+ years of experience with GCP cloud foundational offerings IAM, VPC, Cloud Logging, Security controls, Storage and Compute
In-depth understanding of Google Cloud’s GKE Enterprise, Serverless, BigData and Data analytics native offerings such as Dataproc, Composer, Dataflow, BQ and other technology and underlying architectures by troubleshooting, reproducing, and determining the root cause for customer-reported issues, building tools, and faster diagnosis
Software development experience in one of the OO programming languages: Java, Go and/or Python
Understanding of good cloud architecture to ensure high availability while ensuring the highest level of security and visibility
Strong background in Container & Orchestration Technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
Understanding of Traffic Flow Management, including Service Mesh concepts, with experience in Istio preferred, as well as how GTM and LTMs manage traffic flows
Experience with Logging and Monitoring tools such as Stackdriver, Prometheus and OTEL
FinOps (cloud) domain knowledge preferred
Ability to effectively interpret technical and business objectives and challenges and articulate solutions
Confirmed support of production systems at scale
Willingness to learn new technologies and exploit them to their optimal potential
CloudBees (Jenkins Enterprise) experience is required – minimum of 5+ years working with CloudBees CI/CD solutions
