Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced GCP Application Security Architect to join our team. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing robust security solutions for applications hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application security, cloud computing, and security frameworks, with demonstrated experience in securing cloud-based applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Implement Security Architectures: Develop and deploy secure application architectures on GCP.
• Security Policies and Procedures: Create and maintain security protocols and procedures tailored for GCP environments.
• Risk Assessments and Audits: Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations such as SOC 2, GDPR, and HIPAA.
• Incident Response: Monitor security events and incidents, and orchestrate appropriate response strategies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and compliance teams to integrate security measures into cloud solutions.
• Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance on security best practices to development and operations teams.
• Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest trends and threats in cloud security to continuously enhance protection measures.

Must Haves:

• Proven experience in Application Security
• Strong understanding of common security vulnerabilities (OWASP Top Ten) and mitigation techniques
• Proficient in security tools such as static and dynamic analysis tools, penetration testing frameworks

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in application security, with at least 3 years focused on cloud security (preferably GCP).
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as GCP Professional Cloud Architect, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) are preferred.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of GCP services and security features.
• Proficiency in security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption).
• Experience with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
