Job description

SC Cleared Portfolio Security Architect - Mostly remote. Occasional travel to client site (London / Croydon) may be required. Until end of March 2026. £700-710 per day inside IR35

About the project:

The client is transitioning from an old Data Centre and Disaster Recovery site to a new Virtual / Cloud environment. It is crucial to ensure continuity of current offices, infrastructure, and business operations until March 2027. Exit planning is underway, and current services need to be either replaced by cloud-based solutions, decommissioned, or migrated to alternative environments within the client’s data centers.

Role of the Portfolio Security Architect:

To serve as an advisor on risks associated with the migration, identify gaps, and suggest improvements in the new infrastructure.

Skills required:

1. Provide security leadership for a data centre migration project.
2. Lead risk management activities related to security risks, governance, and assurance.
3. Provide technical assurance of all networks and infrastructure involved in the data centre migration.
4. Offer security direction based on previous experience and best practices regarding data centre migration.
5. Oversee compliance with protocols to reduce vulnerabilities during migration.
6. Collaborate with security teams and the portfolio security team.
7. Produce technical and procedural documentation for the Information Asset Owner (IAO).

Additional Information:

This role requires SC clearance, is mostly remote, with occasional travel to London or Croydon. Duration until March 2026, paying £700-710 per day inside IR35.
