ManpowerGroup in Charlotte, NC is seeking a GCP Application Migration Architect to lead the cloud transformation effort. You will guide audits, drive Docker/Kubernetes containerization, and modernize workloads using Google Cloud serverless services while coordinating with CI/CD and API management teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on development background with languages such as Java, Python, .NET, or Go; understand developers' needs during cloud migration.
• Expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration with GKE and containerized operations.
• Ability to balance lift-and-shift speed with refactoring for long-term quality and maintainability.
• Strong Google Cloud migration knowledge, familiar with Google Cloud services and managed databases.
• Experience coordinating across software development and cloud infrastructure teams for cloud-native readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead application audits to determine migration strategy, including when to keep apps as-is or microserviceize.
• Drive containerization efforts so apps run reliably with Docker and GKE.
• Modernize workloads by moving to Google Cloud serverless and managed services like Cloud Run and App Engine.
• Partner with automation and CI/CD teams to design and implement Cloud Build pipelines for testing and deployment.

Our client is seeking a GCP Application Migration Architect to join their team. As a GCP Application Migration Architect, you will be part of the App Development Migration effort supporting the cloud transformation team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical leadership, clear communication across engineering and infrastructure teams, and a strategic mindset to modernize applications for Google Cloud.

What's the Job?

• Lead application audits to determine the best migration strategy, including when to keep applications as-is or break them down into microservices.
• Drive containerization efforts so applications can run reliably in modern environments using tools such as Docker and GKE.
• Modernize application workloads by moving away from legacy infrastructure toward Google Cloud serverless and managed services such as Cloud Run and App Engine.
• Partner with automation and CI/CD teams to design and implement Cloud Build pipelines that automatically test and deploy code changes to Google Cloud.
• Implement secure API management using tools such as Apigee to enable applications to communicate with each other and external services.
