Job summary

The GEL Group, Inc. is actively seeking a Laboratory Analyst to join the team in Charleston, SC. In this role, you will conduct complex analytical procedures utilizing advanced instrumentation, including gas chromatography and mass spectrometry. Successful candidates will excel in communication, be proficient in Microsoft Office 365, and possess a solid understanding of laboratory operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, preferably in Chemistry or Biology.
• Minimum of one year of related laboratory experience.
• Advanced math and computer skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow complex procedures involving operation and calibration of instrumentation.
• Complete data entry activities including initial data reduction.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of methods and instrumentation.
• Review peers’ analytical data.
• Communicate with internal and external customers.
