Pro Staff in Sugar Land, TX seeks a GC Lab Technician to support the production of gas chromatography columns in a high-volume laboratory manufacturing environment.

This contract-to-hire role offers hands-on experience with laboratory processes, quality control, chemical handling, and production operations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and a willingness to learn. GC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Coursework in Chemistry, Physics or Engineering preferred.
• Experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, production, or industrial environment preferred.
• Gas Chromatography experience is a plus but not required.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills and ability to learn new software applications.

Responsibilities

• Produce and prepare GC columns in a high-volume laboratory manufacturing setting.
• Perform column conditioning, flow measurements, basic wet chemistry tasks, and chemical handling procedures.
• Operate equipment such as pressure gauges, flow meters, hand tools, and power tools.
• Collect, record, and maintain accurate production and quality data.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with supply replenishment activities.
• Identify quality concerns, support process improvements, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and production schedules to meet customer requirements.
