Job summary

Onterris is seeking a GC Analyst I for our Durham, NC laboratory to analyze environmental samples by Gas Chromatography. Your data will support client reports and regulatory decisions, and you will be part of a multidisciplinary team advancing through QA/QC, data review, and troubleshooting as you grow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of analytical methods, analytical instruments, lab safety.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Quantitative sample analysis by Gas Chromatography with various detectors.
• Prepare data summaries for client reports.
• Prepare samples and standards; calibrate instruments.
• Maintain instruments and troubleshoot as needed.
• Keep organized records of analyses and QA/QC activities.
• Support method development and validation for clients.
