Job summary

Dynamic Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a motivated Gauge Calibration Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be mechanically inclined, embrace continuous improvement, and have experience in manufacturing or aerospace environments.

Responsibilities include inhouse gauge calibrations, expediting repairs, maintaining calibration records, and conducting Gauge R&R studies. Training production staff and coordinating with vendors are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in gauging or inspection.
• Understanding of blueprints including GD&T.
• Proper use of calipers, micrometers, dial indicators and gauge blocks.
• Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Engineering bachelor’s preferred; relevant experience accepted.
• Technical/mechanical background preferred.
• Familiarity with automotive quality management systems preferred.
• Mechanical drafting knowledge a plus.
• Ability to build relationships with team and production staff

Responsibilities

• Perform inhouse calibrations of all gauges.
• Expedite repair or replacement of damaged gauges promptly.
• Maintain meticulous calibration records.
• Execute Gauge R&R studies when required.
• Assist in developing new gauge setup and calibration procedures.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for onsite calibration or service.
• Train production staff on proper gauge use and care.
• Uphold 5S methodology on the shop floor.
• Identify improvement opportunities and implement plans.
• Prioritize a complex workload with change requests.
