Job summary

Dynamic Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a motivated Gauge Calibration Technician to join our team in Illinois. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined with a continuous improvement mindset and experience in manufacturing or aerospace settings.

Responsibilities include inhouse calibration of gauges, expediting repairs, maintaining calibration records, and training staff on gauge usage. A BS in engineering or related field is preferred, with hands-on measuring and drafting tools as a plus.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience in a gauging or inspection position.
• Understanding of blueprints, including GD&T.
• Proper usage of hand instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauge blocks.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, & Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform inhouse calibrations of all applicable gauges.
• Expedite the repair or replacement of damaged gauges in a timely manner.
• Maintain excellent record keeping of all calibration measurements.
• Execute Gauge R&R studies, when required.
• Assist in developing new gauge setup and calibration procedures as needed.
• Work with outside vendors to schedule onsite calibration or service maintenance as needed.
• Train production staff on proper use and care of shop floor gauges.
• Uphold the 5S technique.
• Continually identify areas of improvement and develop plans to implement.
• Prioritize and manage a complex workload that is subject to last-minute changes.
• Readily understand and communicate gauge problems and gauge requirements.
