Dynamic Manufacturing, Inc. in Hillside, IL seeks a Gauge Calibration Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will perform inhouse gauge calibrations, expedite repairs, maintain calibration records, and support gauge setup and procedures while working with outside vendors as needed.

You will train production staff on proper gauge use, uphold 5S standards, and identify process improvements, managing a busy workload with accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• 1-2 years experience in a gauging or inspection position.
• Understanding of blueprints, including GD&T.
• Proficiency with hand instruments and measurement tools.
• Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• MS Word, Excel, Outlook proficiency.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant experience.
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems in automotive manufacturing is a plus.
• Mechanical drafting skills are a plus.
• Build effective relationships with team members and production staff.

CoreResponsibilities:

• Perform inhouse calibrations of all applicable gauges
• Expedite the repair or replacement of damaged gauges in a timely manner
• Maintain excellent record keeping of all calibration measurements
• Execute Gauge R&R studies, when required
• Assist in developing new gauge set up and calibration procedures as needed
• work with outside vendors to schedule onsite calibration or service maintenance as needed
• Train production staff on proper use and care of shop floor gages
• Uphold the 5S technique
• Continually identify areas of improvement and develop plans to implement
• Prioritize and manage a complex workload that is subject to last-minute changes
• Readily understand and communicate gauge problems and gauge requirements

JobQualifications:

• 1-2 years experience in a gauging or inspection position.
• Can demonstrate understanding of blueprints, including GD&T.
• Can demonstrate proper usage of hand instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauge blocks.
• Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, & Outlook.
• Ability to multitask with attention to detail.
• Bachelor of Science in applicable engineering or science field preferred, however candidates with relevant equivalent experience will be considered.
• Technical degree or mechanical background preferred
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems in automotive manufacturing preferred
• Mechanical drafting, AutoCAD, and/or Inventor a plus
• Build effective relationships with team members and production staff
