JAS Forwarding (USA), Inc. in New York, NY seeks a Gateway Specialist to oversee air gateway operations, processing MAWB and back-to-back AWBs while ensuring compliant documentation and timely handling of shipments.

The role requires 1–3 years in freight/cargo, excellent communication, and proficiency with MS Office. You will book carrier space, apply correct rates, track shipments, and support internal/external customers.

Responsibilities

• Book space with carriers.
• Ensure MAWBs are rated correctly.
• Obtain spot codes for negotiated carrier rates.
• Enter spot rates and codes in C1.
• Track AWB and provide COB information to branches.
• Research discrepancies in weight and rate with carriers.
• Filing of files; perform other duties as needed.
