Job summary

SegPay seeks a Senior QA Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team in Boca Raton, Florida. You will develop testing strategies, identify issues, and ensure our software performs as intended before release.

You will work closely with developers to create test plans, execute black-box testing, and coordinate QA activities across billing and ecommerce product lines. A minimum of seven years in software QA and experience with SQL environments is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience.
• Experience creating clear, comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Hands-on black-box testing experience.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Experience with backend database testing in a Microsoft SQL environment.
• Experience validating stored procedures, jobs, and triggers.
• QA experience within billing or e-commerce.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

In this role, you'll develop comprehensive testing strategies, identify and troubleshoot issues, collaborate closely with developers, and help ensure our software performs as intended before reaching production. We're looking for someone who can dig into the details, think critically, and take ownership of quality from beginning to end.

What You'll Do

• Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and testing artifacts

• Create comprehensive, well-structured test plans and test cases

• Develop and maintain test data, validation processes, harness scripts, and automated scripts

• Troubleshoot issues, analyze root causes, and collaborate with Development on resolutions

• Write clear, detailed, and accurate defect summaries

• Plan, prioritize, estimate, and coordinate quality-testing activities

• Help ensure quality standards are maintained across product lines

The position is responsible for QA across product lines and includes both hands-on testing and coordination of quality activities.
