Job summary

FedEx Trade Networks, part of FedEx Logistics, seeks a gateway specialist to manage consolidations and shipments, ensuring compliance with export/import regulations. You will coordinate with airlines, gateways, and feeder stations to maintain timeliness and service quality.

The role requires knowledge of US export regulations, Dangerous Goods handling certification, and experience with gateway operations. OAG/TACT familiarity is beneficial and training will be provided to keep schedules updated.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of US export regulations, ports and world geography.
• Certified to process dangerous goods shipments for air transport.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Working knowledge of gateway/warehouse operations.
• Experience with Official Airline Guide (OAG) and The Air Cargo Tariff (TACT).
• Air Import, Gateway Import and Cargo Wise System experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, control, update and distribute documents for consolidation/deconsolidation at gateway level.
• Schedule and monitor handling of incoming/outgoing consolidations or shipments.
• Liaise with airlines and feeder stations to ensure on-time delivery and booked flights.
• Resolve billing issues between FedEx Trade Networks and airline partners.
• Negotiate spot rates with airline partners.
• Train employees on gateway procedures and ensure updated consolidation schedules.
