Job summary

Iridium in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Network Control Specialist I to monitor gateway networks 24x7 and assist with remote maintenance and troubleshooting. This onsite role requires a bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience, and the candidate should be capable of handling multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

You will work 4x10-hour overnight shifts after training, support equipment installation, and coordinate with senior staff and vendor support to restore services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field is required.
• Basic knowledge of network operations and Linux command line skills.
• Strong communication skills and team orientation.
• Willingness to work in a dynamic, 24x7 environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and test gateway network elements per procedures.
• Assist with remote maintenance and perform checklists as written.
• Support troubleshooting of customer trouble tickets.
• Respond to alerts promptly and coordinate fault resolution.
• Assist with equipment installation and server room maintenance.
• Escalate non-standard events to on-call personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
