Job summary

Ganahl Lumber Corona is seeking a Gate Guard to protect the client and property from criminal activity or trespassing. Ideal candidates possess strong written and verbal communication, excellent observational skills, and prior surveillance experience, preferably in a law enforcement environment.

Responsibilities include surveillance patrols, verifying entry security, and responding to suspicious activity with prompt reporting to authorities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Security guard training certification preferred.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand or sit for long periods, and detain an individual if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Surveillance - Patrol the grounds or buildings as assigned, regularly. Review surveillance cameras and monitor crowds as needed. Verify doors, windows and gates are secure on a rotating schedule. Escort released employees or any trespassers off the property.
• Investigation - Respond to alerts of suspicious activity, secure the environment and person, and report to local authorities.
