Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking gate security officers for a home improvement store setting. You will attend gate, provide access control for customers, check orders, and inspect vehicles entering the premises.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and a State Security Officer License, a valid driver’s license, and basic technical skills. This role emphasizes independence, attention to detail, and reliable service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; State Security Officer License is required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Technical training or college education in related field (preferred).
• Previous experience as a security officer (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Attend gate and provide access control for customers entering and exiting the back lot of the facility.
• Check accuracy of orders picked up as customers leave the facility.
• Thoroughly examine vehicles as they enter the premises and note items within vehicles.
• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Walk the yard twice per shift and report suspicious activities or criminal acts.
• Address persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
• Call emergency personnel for high-risk situations.
