Responsibilities

• Provide smooth traffic flow at the gate by delivering efficient and accurate customer service.
• Ensure security of the gate entrance and protect people and property.
• Verify purchases by reviewing receipts and loading slips; direct customers to merchandise locations.
• Communicate with Warehouse team for timely customer interactions.
• Verify loading accuracy with RF unit and physical counts, inform Customer Service as needed.
• Inform customers of potential safety concerns regarding loads.
• Assist with assembly projects as needed.
• Promote Fleet Farm loyalty program and other company initiatives.

Gate Guards are responsible for providing a positive and timely service to all incoming and outgoing customers who are using the Yard. Gate Guards are responsible for the security of the gate entrance.

Job duties:

• Provide smooth traffic flow in and out of the gate area by providing efficient and accurate customer service.
• Ensure the facility is provided with high quality security services to protect people and property.
• Verify customer's purchase by reviewing customer's receipt and outside loading slip. Direct customer to the location of merchandise for proper loading. Follow all standard policies and procedures to help reduce shrink for the company.
• Communicate all incoming customers to Warehouse team members for timely customer interactions.
• Verify accuracy of customer loading utilizing RF unit outside loading application as well as a physical count. Efficiently communicate with Customer Service Department and hold all outside loading slips for customer loads that were not completely loaded.
• Inform customers of potential safety concerns regarding their load.
• Assist with assembly projects, as needed.
• Positive promotion of Fleet Farm customer loyalty program, credit card, and other company initiatives.

Job Requirements and Education:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic knowledge of computer systems and ability to learn and operate a RF Unit, tablet, or other technology.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
