Job summary

Premier Fence, LLC in Middleborough, MA is seeking a Gate & Automation Service Technician to service and grow our new division. The role is field-based, traveling after training and gathering supplies weekly at the shop.

You will read wiring diagrams, troubleshoot gate systems, and help build a scalable access-control and automation operation. Ideal candidates have 2+ years with automated gates, strong mechanical/electrical skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience with automated gate systems.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Solid electrical knowledge (low voltage, basic 120V/240V).
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and manufacturer documentation.
• Comfortable working independently in the field.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Criminal background check required.
• On call rotation for afterhours and weekend service.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair of automated gate systems: Slide, swing, cantilever, vertical lift, barrier arm, and crash-rated gate systems.
• Maintenance and repair of high-security and crash-rated gates, including heavy-duty mechanical and hydraulic components.
• Troubleshooting operators, motors, control boards, safety loops, photo eyes, keypads, intercoms, and access control devices.
• Preventative maintenance and scheduled service work.
• Emergency service calls as required.
• Supporting installs and system upgrades as the division grows.

Employer Attended the CTI Tri County Regional on Job fair on 7/29/26; Company Overview: Premier Fence is expanding our well-established fencing operation to include gates, automation, and access controls. We’re hiring a Gate & Automation Service Technician to help launch and grow this new division. This position will be on the road once training is complete, picking up supplies at the shop once a week. This role is for a technician who knows gate systems and wants to be part of building something from the ground up inside a solid, established company. You’ll be joining an experienced fencing team while helping stand up our access controls and automation division. There is real upward mobility for the right person.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Access control and telephone entry systems
• Welding or fabrication experience (plus, not required)
