Per Mar Security Services in Iowa City, IA is seeking a FULL-TIME Gate Attendant - Security Officer. You will guard access points, interact with the public, and ensure a safe environment in a busy site.

Pay is $19.50 per hour with bi-weekly pay. Shifts include Sundays and other days as listed; interviews and onboarding take place at our Cedar Rapids branch. Benefits include medical, life, dental, vision, and more.

Job Skills / Requirements

We are looking for a FULL-TIME GATE ATTENDANT - SECURITY OFFICER in the Iowa City, Iowa.

Pay: $19.50 an hour. Paid Bi-Weekly.

Shift: Sunday (7:50 AM - 3:00 PM) / Monday & Tuesday (3:00 PM - 10:30 PM) / Friday & Saturday (5:50 AM - 3:00 PM)

• Must Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be disciplined to stay off personal phone.
• Must be able to walk extended periods of time.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license/reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass Iowa Department of Public Safety/FBI Background check from age of 18 to current.
• Must be able to pass company motor vehicle records check.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment 4-panel drug screen.
• Must be able to interact with the public in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
• Must be able to remain calm in non-emergency and emergency situations.
• Must be detail oriented and aware of your surroundings at all times.
• Must be available to cover vacant shifts (Overtime).
• Must be comfortable using a tablet and its functions for job-related tasks.
• Must be reliable—excessive absenteeism will not be tolerated.
• Our Cedar Rapids branch covers; Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City & the surrounding areas. --- All interviews and onboardings must take place at our Cedar Rapids Branch.
