Job summary

Target Hospitality is seeking a Gate Attendant I to ensure a safe, threat-free environment for employees and residents. You will enforce camp rules, monitor visitors at check points, and perform regular room checks while delivering courteous guest service.

The position requires English communication, 1+ year of gate/Access control experience, and willingness to rotate 6 weeks on/2 weeks off. Background checks and travel away from home are part of the role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year as Gate Attendant or similar access-control role.
  • 1+ year customer service experience preferred.
  • Must communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to work with or without supervision.
  • Willingness to travel and do long rotations away from home.
  • Must pass background check and urinalysis.
  • Must provide your own transportation to the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain safety culture and follow SOPs, JSAs, and policies.

Job Title:Gate Attendant I
Reports to: Lodge Manager
Level: Hourly
Schedule: 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation, or as per manager's discretion and business needs

SCOPE

Responsible for maintaining a safe and threat-free environment for all employees and residents through compliance with Target Hospitality security protocol.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Accountable and responsible for maintaining a safety culture, following all SOPs, JSAs, and policies and procedures as set out by Target Hospitality.
  • Enforce all camp rules and regulations outlined in the Target Hospitality Employee Handbook.
  • Assist in monitoring and logging all authorized visitors, guests, and vendors at various vehicle check points.
  • Perform periodic walkthroughs and room checks in a respectful manner.
  • Report all dangerous, threatening, or unsafe activities to the appropriate responders.
  • Exceed our guests’ needs by providing world-class customer service.
  • Attend all safety meetings and participate in Target Hospitality emergency response procedures.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by a supervisor or manager.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Stand and squat for long periods of time, up to 12 hours or more, with scheduled breaks.
  • Short- and long-distance walking required.
  • Use of stairs and step stools.
  • Use force when pushing and pulling carts that weigh on average 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding, high-stress environment.
  • Frequently lift an average weight of 25 lbs with a maximum of 50 lbs. Where weights may exceed 50 lbs, the assistance of another person or a lifting aid is mandatory.
  • Frequently reach below waist, waist to shoulder, and above shoulder, with frequent neck, back, and torso twisting from left to right without restriction.
  • Occasional manual dexterity requirements, including the ability to type and use a 10-key.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT
  • Ability to hear and understand verbal instruction as well as other sounds such as safety alarms and signals.
  • Must be able to see without impairment for inspection purposes, and able to read small text such as product warning labels.
  • Exposure to extreme hot and cold environments.
  • Ability to work within a rotational schedule of 6 weeks on and 2 weeks off, or as per manager’s discretion and business needs.
  • Ability to work safely and navigate within small, close quarters and congested areas.
  • May be exposed periodically to elevated noise and surroundings.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1+ years of experience as a Gate Attendant or in a comparable access control, security, or front gate role.
  • 1+ years of customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally, in English.
  • Must be able to work effectively and efficiently with or without supervision.
  • Strong prioritization and time management skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work long rotations away from home.
  • Must pass a background check and urinalysis.
  • Must provide your own transportation to and from the facility.
