Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking dependable Security Officers for a home improvement store setting. The role emphasizes independent work, attention to detail, and basic tablet operation to manage access control and incident reporting.

You will patrol, monitor, and secure the premises, respond to suspicious activity, and coordinate with emergency responders as needed. A valid license and a clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• State Security Officer license required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Technical training or college education in related field preferred.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential.

Responsibilities

• Attend gate and provide access control for customers entering/exiting the back lot.
• Check accuracy of orders picked up by customers leaving the facility.
• Thoroughly examine vehicles entering the premises and note items inside.
• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or rule infractions.
• Walk the yard twice per shift and report any suspicious activity or crime.
• Address individuals engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.

Job Skills / Requirements

Per Mar Security is looking for qualified candidates for gate Security Officers in a home improvement store setting. The best candidates will be comfortable working independently. You are detail oriented and will have basic technology skills including the ability to operate a tablet. M-F: 6am - 2pm.

• Attend gate and provide access control for customers coming in and out of the back lot of the facility
• Check accuracy of orders picked up as customers leave the facility
• Thoroughly examine vehicles as they enter the premises and make note of existing items within vehicles
• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• Twice per shift, walk the yard and report any suspicious activities or criminal acts
• Address persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma or GED.- State Security Officer License
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.- Technical training or college education in the related field (preferred)
• Previous experience as a security officer (preferred- Attendance / Punctuality are a must
