Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking gate Security Officers for a home improvement store setting. The role involves controlling access at the gate, inspecting vehicles, and monitoring for security breaches to keep customers and staff safe.

Candidates should be comfortable working independently, detail oriented, with basic technology skills (tablet) and a valid driver's license. Prior security experience is preferred; integrity and accountability are valued by Per Mar Security Services.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Technical training or college education in related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend gate and provide access control for customers entering/exiting the back lot.
• Check accuracy of orders picked up as customers leave.
• Thoroughly examine vehicles as they enter the premises and note items.
• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• At end of shift, walk the yard and report suspicious activities or criminal acts.
• Address persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations.

Job Skills / Requirements

Per Mar Security is looking for qualified candidates for gate Security Officers in a home improvement store setting. The best candidates will be comfortable working independently. You are detail oriented and will have basic technology skills including the ability to operate a tablet.

M-F: $18.50/HR

SAT-SUN: $19.50/HR

• Attend gate and provide access control for customers coming in and out of the back lot of the facility
• Check accuracy of orders picked up as customers leave the facility
• Thoroughly examine vehicles as they enter the premises and make note of existing items within vehicles
• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
• At end of shift, walk the yard and report any suspicious activities or criminal acts
